Sostravel.com is increasingly investing in Kenya, particularly in the tourism development of the Watamu/Malindi coast. Tourism is vital to the Kenyan economy, contributing significantly to the national GDP, but education faces numerous challenges. According to statistics, many students need more educational resources to complete secondary education.
Sostravel.com‘s project aims to strengthen the link between the tourism sector and the local community, demonstrating a commitment that will become increasingly concrete in favor of sustainable socioeconomic development of the Kenyan population.
As a first small step, Sostravel.com, a commercial player in the Jumbo Resort Watamu, has donated 40 benches to the “Jacaranda Junior Secondary School”. A simple, yet significant, gesture that contributes to the improvement of the quality of local educational infrastructure and thus to the creation of a more adequate and stimulating school environment.
Sostravel.com also contributed to the donation of an ultrasound machine to the local hospital. This device, of fundamental importance, allows for free ultrasound visits for pregnant women in the community.
Carmine Colella, CEO of Sostravel.com, stated: “This was just a small gesture. Our goal remains to employ local resources in our tourism activities, to involve the local community in the development of the territory, and contribute to the improvement of social, educational, and health infrastructures.”
